Deworming Services for Pets

Worms. They may be small and seem harmless enough, but these spaghetti-like creatures can cause severe harm to your pet’s health (e.g. anemia, malnutrition, irreversible organ damage). In order for them to stay protected, pets need to receive regular deworming treatments all throughout their lives. These simple and painless treatments can save you and your pet from unnecessary troubles. To learn more about which deworming options are right for you, please do not hesitate to call us at 519.307.2510.

Do pets still need to be dewormed once they are fully-grown?
Absolutely! Unfortunately, there is a misconception that pets only need deworming when they are puppies or kittens. The truth is constant treatments are needed so your pet remains protected.

How often does my pet need to be dewormed?
Frequency will vary depending on your pet’s unique needs and lifestyle. Generally speaking, we recommend that pets are dewormed once every four months for ample protection. More or less treatments may be needed and we can tailor your pet’s deworming accordingly.

Do pets need to be dewormed in the winter?
Yes. Worms can still survive and reproduce in the colder seasons. They can still make their way into your pet through the groomers, pet daycares, as well as interactions with other pets and animals. Even if your pet spends most of their time indoors, they still need to be protected.

How do I know if my pet has worms?
When it comes to worms, regular check-ups are so important because many pets, especially at the early days of infestation or if they have only a small amount of worms, may not actually display any visible signs. Worms can be wreaking havoc inside your pet for months without you knowing it. That being said some common signs you can keep a lookout for are sudden weight loss and loss of appetite, diarrhea, bloated stomach, dragging of the rear and softer stool.
