FAVC Offers Veterinary Telemedicine!

Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic is pleased to announce the addition of veterinary telemedicine to its service roster!

In times of social isolation, veterinary telemedicine provides a safe, secure opportunity to remotely visit the veterinarian. As a result of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic is now offering video and text-based telemedicine appointments. Available 8am-8pm Monday-Sunday from the comfort of your own home, Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic offers the same level of service and support you’ve grown to expect in-clinic, virtually!

While we can’t administer vaccines or perform surgery via telemedicine, we can certainly provide answers, guidance, and in certain cases, diagnosis and medical prescriptions online. A few examples of appropriate use cases for telemedicine include:

My dog ate something he shouldn’t have – should I be concerned?
My cat is vomiting – what are my next steps?
I notice my puppy has loose stool – should I adjust her diet?
My dog is quite itchy and her skin seems irritated – is there anything I can do to help?
My kitten isn’t acting right, and I’m stressed out about it. Can you help?
I’m due for flea and tick medication – can you prescribe that to me?
