Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic is proud to be a team-centered practice, where all staff members participate to the fullest extent of their skills and knowledge in the care of our patients and clients. This philosophy allows us to provide our clients with a great depth and breadth of knowledge in veterinary and animal care. Team-centered practices also provide enhanced continuity of care for your pets. Our team members are encouraged to pursue education in areas that are of interest to them, and which will benefit our clients.
We are proud to introduce the Fifth Avenue Veterinary Team…
Dr. McClinchey graduated from the University of Guelph in 2000 with a Masters degree in Biophysics and earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2005. Dr. McClinchey has worked in the Orangeville area since graduation and was thrilled at the opportunity to build and operate Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic. Dr. McClinchey is interested in soft tissue surgery, anesthesia, preventative health care and feline medicine. Above all, she is keen to work with owners to ensure a great quality of life with their pets.
Heather is married with two young children and, with her husband, keeps horses and raises Lincoln Red cattle on a working farm near Orangeville. She has a wonderful Golden Retriever named Cisco and enough cats to be considered a crazy cat lady! In her spare time, Heather enjoys riding her horses, running and photography.
Dr. Laura Crawford completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and Environmental Sciences with a Major in Animal Biology at McGill University in 2007. From there, she completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College in 2011. Laura grew up on a dairy farm, so she knew at an early age she wanted to be a veterinarian.
After graduation, her love of small animal medicine and surgery flourished. She is especially interested in nutrition, soft tissue surgery and dermatology. She loves enriching and helping animals live long, healthy lives.
When not at work, Laura can be found reading, biking or hiking with her Black Lab rescue dog named Phoebe and her husband Jack. She also recently adopted a fun-filled Domestic Medium Hair cat named Zoe who looks like Cosmo’s twin!
Michelle has been working as a manager in veterinary hospitals for the past 20 years. Prior to working in the veterinary field, she held a management position in the fitness and spa industry, thus bringing with her over 25 years of customer service experience.
Michelle earned her BAA at Ryerson in Toronto but her love of animals and the right opportunity led her to pursue a career in the animal care industry.
Michelle lives in Erin with her partner Steve and their fuzzy family; Roo (the Blue Heeler) Goose (the adorable Wirehaired Dachshund), and Chico (the Min Pin)
Outside of work Michelle loves music, dancing, movies and helping Steve with the renovation of their old farmhouse.
She loves being part of the FAVC family and providing you and your pet with exceptional care.
Sherry has been working the veterinary field since completing her high-school co-op program in 2007. Through her love of animals, she decided to pursue a Veterinary Technician Diploma, which she received in 2010 from Seneca College. She is happy to be working in the Orangeville area, and loves sharing her keen interest in veterinary dentistry and client education with clients of Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic.
She currently lives with her husband, Nick, 2 cats (Tom and Missy) and their dog (Nala). Sherry and Nick welcomed their first child, a son they named Gage, in August 2015. Their second child, Brooke, joined the family in September 2017.
Eushauna is a proud University of Guelph-Ridgetown Campus alum, having earned her Veterinary Technician Diploma in September 2013. Born and raised in Guyana, she has loved animals ever since the age of 5 and credits movies like The Lion King, Lassie, Air Bud, Babe (to name only a few) as influencing factors in her decision to one day become a Veterinary Technician.
After moving to Canada at the age of 14, she took the first steps toward her chosen career path by volunteering at her local animal shelter in Brampton and at a veterinary clinic. Her passions also include art/animation, web design, reading, writing and theatre. She lives with her husband and fur babies that include a Sheltie named Angel, a Bengal named Sol and Ocicat named Lune. In her spare time she enjoys watching one of her many favorite television shows or a movie with her family and friends.
Always ready to greet clients and their four legged babies with a warm and welcoming smile, as well as her positive energy and personality, Eushauna looks forward to sharing her interest in dentistry and animal nutrition with clients and to nurturing their bond with their pets.
Anne has loved animals since her childhood and grew up with multiple cats. She volunteered at an animal shelter during high school and worked as an Animal Welfare Associate at the OSPCA for 2 summers while attending college. She pursued her love of animals, graduating from the University of Guelph in 2014 with a BSc in animal biology, followed by her diploma from Sheridan College in the Veterinary Technician program in 2017.
Having recently moved, she is now living in Orangeville with her cat, Toky. Along with the new house, she also hopes to adopt some siblings for him. Anne enjoys cooking and trying new foods. In her spare time she is either out with friends or catching up on all the new movies.
Trish has been a proud RVT for many years, having graduated from the Seneca College Veterinary Technician program in 1997. She is thrilled to be able to maintain and grow her technical skills as a part time member of the FAVC team.
Her love of animal behaviour and training has led to her taking continuing education classes in behavior and competing in obedience and agility with her two Shetland Sheepdogs. In addition to working part time for FAVC, Trish also runs a successful dog walking and pet sitting business. Her business allows her to combine her technical knowledge with her interest in animal behavior and her clients always appreciate the extra knowledge and care that brings to her service.
Trish enjoys spending time with her husband and three active teenagers and can often be found hiking or camping with the family. She also enjoys relaxing with a cup of tea, her cat and a good book.
We were honoured to adopt Cosmo from the Orangeville Humane Society on May 14th, 2012, officially making him a part of the Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic team. He brings with him a wealth of experience as a Client Satifaction Co-ordinator (CSC). Since joining the team, he has become a favourite with our patients and clients. He has a special interest in pest control, avian observation, feline-canine interactions and the nurturing of the human-animal bond.
In his spare time, Cosmo enjoys fine dining, great conversation and playing fetch.
