Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic is proud to be a team-centered practice, where all staff members participate to the fullest extent of their skills and knowledge in the care of our patients and clients. This philosophy allows us to provide our clients with a great depth and breadth of knowledge in veterinary and animal care. Team-centered practices also provide enhanced continuity of care for your pets. Our team members are encouraged to pursue education in areas that are of interest to them, and which will benefit our clients.
We are proud to introduce the Fifth Avenue Veterinary Team…
Dr. McClinchey graduated from the University of Guelph in 2000 with a Masters degree in Biophysics and earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2005. Dr. McClinchey has worked in the Orangeville area since graduation and was thrilled at the opportunity to build and operate Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic. Dr. McClinchey is interested in soft tissue surgery, anesthesia, preventative health care and feline medicine. Above all, she is keen to work with owners to ensure a great quality of life with their pets.
Heather is married with two young children and, with her husband, keeps horses and raises Lincoln Red cattle on a working farm near Orangeville. She has a wonderful Golden Retriever named Suzie and enough cats to be considered a crazy cat lady! In her spare time, Heather enjoys riding her horses, running and photography.
Dr. Kirstie Puskas knew she wanted to become a veterinarian when she was young and has spent many years achieving this goal. She grew up in Waterloo, Ontario and moved to Guelph to complete her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Guelph. After completing her degree, she was accepted into the Ontario Veterinary College.
Since graduating, Dr. Puskas has worked in small animal clinics in Ontario and spent some time working in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. Dr. Puskas is very happy to join the team at Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic. She enjoys working with owners to provide the best possible care for their pets and has a special interest in surgery, anesthesia and emergency medicine.
Dr. Puskas currently lives in Guelph with her husband and their Bluetick Coonhound named Hunter. In her spare time she enjoys many outdoor activities including mountain biking, running, cross country skiing, canoeing and hiking.
Michelle has been working as a manager in veterinary hospitals for the past 15 years. Prior to working in the veterinary field, she held a management position in the fitness and spa industry, thus bringing with her over 20 years of customer service experience.
Michelle earned her BAA at Ryerson in Toronto but her love of animals and the right opportunity led her to pursue a career in the animal care industry.
Michelle lives in Erin with her partner Steve and their fuzzy family: Derby and Roo (the crazy Blue Heelers), Goose (the adorable Wirehaired Dachshund), Cinco (the ‘WeeTriever’) and Jack (the cat).
Outside of work Michelle loves music, dancing, movies and helping Steve with the renovation of their old farmhouse.
She is very excited to be part of the team at Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic and looks forward to providing you and your pet with exceptional care.
Sherry Anne Noseworthy,
Sherry has been working the veterinary field since completing her high-school co-op program in 2007. Through her love of animals, she decided to pursue a Veterinary Technician Diploma, which she received in 2010 from Seneca College. She is very excited to return home to the Orangeville area, and is looking forward to sharing her keen interest in veterinary dentistry and client education with clients of Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic.
She currently lives with her husband, Nick, 2 cats (Tom and Missy), her 2 dogs (Jax and Nala), 4 geckos, 2 bearded dragons and 2 snakes. Her horse, Ariel, lives with her aunt in Caledon East. Sherry and Nick welcomed their first child, a son they named Gage, in August 2015.
Eushauna is a proud University of Guelph-Ridgetown Campus alum, having earned her Veterinary Technician Diploma in September 2013. Born and raised in Guyana, she has loved animals ever since the age of 5 and credits movies like The Lion King, Lassie, Air Bud, Babe (to name only a few) as influencing factors in her decision to one day become a Veterinary Technician.
After moving to Canada at the age of 14, she took the first steps toward her chosen career path by volunteering at her local animal shelter in Brampton and at a veterinary clinic. Her passions also include art/animation, web design, reading, writing and theatre. Her one and only “baby” at the moment is a Sable Merle coloured Sheltie named Angel. In her spare time she enjoys watching one of her many favorite television shows or a movie with her family and friends.
Always ready to greet clients and their four legged babies with a warm and welcoming smile, as well as her positive energy and personality, Eushauna looks forward to sharing her interest in dentistry and animal nutrition with clients and to nurturing their bond with their pets.
Lauren graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2007 with her BSc in Psychology and Biology and in 2011 received her Veterinary Technician Diploma from the University of Guelph-Ridgetown Campus. She has been working in veterinary clinics in her hometown of Waterloo since graduating.
Before her love for animals led her to this field, Lauren previously worked in the restaurant industry, both in the kitchen and as a server. She enjoys good food, great wine and as an avid concert goer enjoys attending performances of her favorite bands and artists. A Cane Corso, Bonita and a DMH black cat, Ivy, share her home and her heart along with her partner Nathan.
Lauren is passionate about animal nutrition and looks forward to sharing that knowledge with clients and their pets.
Anne has loved animals since her childhood and grew up with multiple cats. She volunteered at an animal shelter during high school and worked as an Animal Welfare Associate at the OSPCA for 2 summers while attending college. She pursued her love of animals, graduating from the University of Guelph in 2014 with a BSc in animal biology, followed by her diploma from Sheridan College in the Veterinary Technician program in 2017.
Currently living in Brampton with her 14 year old cat, Toky, Anne is hoping to move into a new place in Orangeville in the near future. Along with the new house, she also hopes to adopt some siblings for Toky. Anne enjoys cooking and trying new foods. In her spare time she is either out with friends or catching up on all the new movies.
Cosmo is the latest addition to the Fifth Avenue Veterinary Clinic team. We were honoured to adopt him from the Orangeville Humane Society on May 14th, 2012. He brings with him a wealth of experience as a Client Satifaction Co-ordinator (CSC). Since joining the team, he has become a favourite with our patients and clients. He has a special interest in pest control, avian observation, feline-canine interactions and the nurturing of the human-animal bond.
In his spare time, Cosmo enjoys fine dining, great conversation and playing fetch.
